Over $2,800 Raised for Barbells for Boobs®!
Face Your Fears Athletics is proud to announce that we raised over $2,800
through our fourth-annual Barbells for Boobs® fundraiser!
On October 22nd, members of our gym in Santa Clarita completed 5 rounds
of the workout "Fight Gone Bad" for time. Pledges and other donations were taken for this event,
all to raise money for mammograms and to raise awareness for breast cancer
and the importance of early detection. Along with the workout and donations
made, there was also a silent auction, where everything from shaker bottles
and knee sleeves to waxing sessions and crytherapy was auctioned off.
All money raised through donations, pledges, and auction sales was donated
to the Barbells for Boobs organization.
What Is Barbells for Boobs?
Barbells for Boobs® is an organization that provides breast cancer screenings to women and
men whose insurance has denied them these services due to their young
age, their gender, etc. Research shows that 7% of those who develop breast
cancer develop it before the age of 40, which is why Barbells for Boobs
exists: to provide these services to people who deserve to know if they
are fighting cancer. Because:
"Everyone has the RIGHT to know.™"

Introducing Trainer Jack
Please welcome the newest member of the Face Your Fears Athletics team,
Jack Wilson. Here is a bit about what drives him as a trainer:
“Exercise is therapy. Nutrition is medicine. Strength is functional
Growing up in the South with a steady diet of biscuits and gravy, it wasn’t
hard for me to get to be 50 pounds overweight. At a young age, I made
the choice to get active and change my diet to drop that weight and keep
it off. Nutrition and exercise have been transformative for me, and I
love sharing that gift with others.
